RECOS Statement on the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI)

The Ocean Coalition is troubled by the recent announcement from the National Science Foundation (NSF) that the in-water ocean sensors and other key infrastructure of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) will be removed over the coming year, as part of a “descope” process.
